Having been introduced to industrial property rights even before the establishment of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, the founder of our firm worked for 11 years as a patent and trademark attorney as well as the director of international relations department in law offices. On 25 October 2004, Desi Patents & Trademarks Office was established, and the title was renamed Desi Patents & Trademarks Limited in 2021.

Through Desi Global Limited, we are expanding our network and strengthening our leadership in the global IP field across the UK and Europe. Additionally, with Desi Europe d.o.o., we are extending our presence in Montenegro, combining expertise in IP, technology, and law to support our clients worldwide. Deniz Çelikel, recognized as the first and only Turkish practitioner authorized by the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO), underscores her dedication to providing globally integrated intellectual property services through these strategic international expansions.

Our founder, Mrs. Deniz Celikel, has developed proprietary software such as DesiIPSoft® and DesiSoft®, designed to streamline IP operations. DesiIPSoft® allows for comprehensive searches and monitoring of all published IP matters in Turkey, while DesiSoft® is tailored for managing client files and preparing detailed reports on their applications.

Momentofis is one of the boutique IP law firms, which has been offering national and international legal services, including counselling and attorneyship in the scope of Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights since 2002 in Turkey.

Between 1996 and 2002, Nuriye YAVAN, the co-founder and the director of Momentofis, was working for PARAGON, which was also one of the IP law firms in Turkey, as patent and trademark attorney, as well as the general manager and the chairman of the executive board of the firm. In 2002 after leaving the firm, she has founded Momentofis Patent and Trademark Limited and since then she has been offering legal services in particular on patents, utility models, trade and service marks, designs and geographical indications as patent and trademark attorney. Ms Yavan is member of AIPPI, EPI and PEM having powers and qualifications as patent and trademark attorney before the Turkish Patent & Trademark Office as well as the European Patent Office.
